Product Introduction
The RY-GH Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) sensor is primarily used to measure photosynthetically active radiation within the 400-700nm wavelength range of natural light. It is easy to use, can be directly connected to a digital voltmeter or data logger, and is suitable for all-weather conditions.
This sensor employs a silicon photodetector and an optical filter for the 400-700nm range. When exposed to light, it generates a voltage signal proportional to the incident radiation intensity, with its sensitivity proportional to the cosine of the incident light angle. Each PAR sensor comes with its own sensitivity value (in raw millivolt output), allowing direct calculation of values in units of μ•mol/m2•s.
This sensor is widely used in agricultural meteorology and crop growth research.
